MISSING MAN FLIGHTS

Honoring those who served.

The missing man formation is an aerial salute performed at a funeral service for a distinguished aviator or military veteran. Traditionally flown with four airplanes, during the flight one plane can be seen pulling up and rolling out of the formation. The remaining three planes continue on their flight path, and with the empty space representing the loss of the departed.
